It's alright Gabriel. You are right. You probably need to re-assess what you have been doing this year. See if you can let go some activities and take on only what's necessary. I believe you can do very well next year. Just enjoy your trip and your holidays now. Re-charge, re-organise and re-work your battle plan.

Hello Gab,
En here, reading your entry struck a chord with me too, because this year, I'm in the 2-2 range as well, and for NUS Law that means I'm the bottom 35% of Law School...

Anyway, yr 2 sem 1 results were a wake up call for me, with my triple Cs. Prayed and dropped the committments that I could let go, found help in the other ones that I couldn't. Not sure if that was enough, but I didn't get the grades that I needed to get back into the 2-1 range...

On the flip side, one of my school mates had the busiest, most church activites year of his life, (Youth Camp IC, CGs, Evangelism dramas, etc) and made it to the dean's list. I've always felt that he was around my standard.

So is God saying to us to "Do his work and he'll take care of the rest" or is God saying to us, "Studies is a ministry as much as everything else, becuase I desire excellence from you in ALL areas."

I really don't know...

But I do know that our God promise us that he'll take care of our tomorrow! So take heart in that!

Hey thanks en.

Yeah, was quite busy with extra-curricular commitments this year. This was a response to the lack of fulfillment i found in my academic work the year before.

Have paid the price for it with my result. But thankfully in Cambridge, the first and second year results don't count towards the finals. And it's also good to be put in a situation where there is no other option but to put your trust in God into practice, as well as to be able to identify with those who didn't do too well.

Though having said that, I will definitely be driven by this to work much harder and more humbly the coming year - not passing topics off as too trivial for attention.

Thanks for your comment, and hope you find something meaningful from this too.
